The Sage Hotel

We arrived for early check-in on August 3. The front desk clerk and a housekeeper were trying to find a cleaned king room; the clerk looked out at the car where my husband was sitting, then came back and called me a Spanish slur for a gay man. When I confronted the two women at the desk, they claimed they didn't hear it. That's nonsense. He didn't know I speak Spanish and I know that word well. We checked out and will never return.

“Great value”

We had a great time and the place was nice to stay. It's close enough to walk to the Plaza, but there's a shuttle when you get tired (ask for Ducky, she's wonderful). The only downside is the shuttle stops running at 9 pm. Also, the wifi is poor—we had to walk to the office to get a decent signal. We used a special that included a dinner gift card, so overall it was a great value. We'll definitely return.
