Unlike the large resort hotels in Condado, The Dreamcatcher is a small guest house in the Ocean Park neighborhood of San Juan. It has an outdoor shower, a garden with fruit trees and a vintage fountain, and common areas with hammocks. The beach is a two-minute walk away. Host Sylvia and her two dogs make guests feel at home.

“a true Oasis in the Caribbean!”

My friend and I spent about a week at the Dreamcatcher Guest House and adored every moment. The host was wonderful, and so were her two amazing dogs. The three of them made us feel completely at home during our vacation. The house itself is stunning and peaceful. The garden is full of flowers and fruit trees, with a vintage water fountain and lanterns hanging from the trees. Buddha statues and old collectibles are scattered everywhere. There are two lounges and a sun deck, each with hammocks, sofas, or rocking chairs. There's also an outdoor shower, and even though our room had a private bathroom, I chose to shower under the stars. The beach is just around the corner, about a two-minute walk away. What we loved most about the beach is that it's far from the crowded tourist spots, and it felt like we had our own little island. At night, many guests gathered for small parties or dinners. There are also yoga classes once or twice a week. If you want to go out, plenty of restaurants and bars are nearby. The area felt very safe, especially since Ocean Park is a gated neighborhood with security patrols at night. In short: you have to stay here! I will definitely be back.
