“Great Dockside Dining”
Visited a few days ago with friends for lunch. I really enjoyed the place. The service was friendly but a bit slow getting our food out. The lunch menu offers basic bar food, and our orders were correct. Drinks and refills came quickly. Great views of the intracoastal waterway. It's a nice spot if you want a pleasant setting with a view without anything fancy. Paid parking in a covered garage across the street was very convenient.

I was heading to a nearby restaurant but noticed this colorful building that used to be Taverna Opa. Curious about the replacement, I stepped in and looked at the menu. The head cook, a small woman from Latin America, approached me and offered to make her specialty if I stayed. It was delicious—a tamale with a Venezuelan-style filling. I would have preferred the rice my partner had instead of the coleslaw. When I finished my beer, the server brought me another without my asking, explaining it was part of a two-for-one happy hour. This place is relaxing, fun, and very gay-friendly. The staff includes a hot gay bartender in his 20s (usually nights), a sexy bi female bartender in her 20s (mostly days), and a gay server in his 30s who is also attractive.
