While it's actually a bakery, Leonard's is incredibly well-known in Hawaii. Their malasadas are so iconic that anyone in Hawaii asked about them will instantly know where to go. You need to eat them fresh—they just melt in your mouth. Leonard's has been open since 1952. It's a must-visit when you're in Hawaii. It's a short drive from Waikiki on Kapahulu Avenue, the same street as Hula's Bar. Head away from the beach toward the mountains and it's on the right. Parking can be tough sometimes, but don't let that stop you from going.
