“The best restaurant on Cape Cod”
It takes about 30 minutes to drive from P'town down the Cape, but Chillingsworth is an incredibly special dining spot. Housed in a 350-year-old captain's home, the venue offers both a casual bistro menu and a six-course fine dining option, with the latter being outstanding. Stop by early for a drink at the bar and say hello to a staff member. Then enjoy dishes like truffle mac and cheese, seared scallops, grilled swordfish, shrimp 'taco,' and other amazing French-California fusion cuisine. For a quiet romantic evening, request the Empire or another dining room; the Terrace provides more people-watching; the Alcove puts you in the spotlight; and for groups of six or more, the Gazebo offers a private outdoor dining experience. Very gay-friendly.
