About

Bar: Full bar

One reviewer calls their annual trip to Provincetown incomplete without a stop here. The Lobster Pot has been a family-run waterfront fixture since 1979, serving seafood, Portuguese dishes, and their famous award-winning clam chowder. Two dining rooms overlook the harbor, and the Top of the Pot bar is known for Bloody Marys. The building shows its age, but that adds to the charm. Expect a casual, often crowded atmosphere where big groups fit easily.

You'll find a mixed LGBT crowd here, though some say for gourmet seafood you might look elsewhere. Service stays friendly even when packed. Open daily 11:30am to 8pm, it's a solid choice for a traditional lobster dinner before heading to the clubs.

Located in the East End near Lopes Square, a short stroll from the waterfront.

“Lobster anyone”

The yearly visit to P-Town isn't complete without stopping by the Lobster Pot. This year's 3-pound lobster was fantastic, almost too much for two people, but we managed. The staff is friendly and chatty, and even when it's busy, they make you feel welcome.

“Awesome!”

Excellent spot for lobster, but you must begin with the clam chowder. I come here every time I'm in P-Town and am never let down; neither will you. Try this place and you'll be hooked!

“Typical Seafood Place”

It seems to be on many people's must-visit list, but it's not truly worth writing home about. But I'll write to you...there are plenty of great restaurants in P-Town, so if you're a foodie or only visiting briefly, you can find better seafood elsewhere. However, for a classic meal of lobster or crab, it's not a bad option. It can get crowded and noisy, but there's enough space for a large group of 12, like when I was last there.

“Seafood in P-Town”

What more could you want? Eating a lobster while overlooking the harbor in P-Town. Yes, the building is old, but that's what gives it its charm. The food is great, the service is great. A wonderful night out for dinner before a show or hitting the clubs.
