About
If you're a wine enthusiast or a seafood lover, The Pointe Restaurant (formerly Bistro at Crowne Pointe) is your spot in Provincetown. With over 4,000 bottles of wine on reserve, the 40-seat dining room offers intimate ocean views year-round. The kitchen focuses on fresh local seafood alongside American, European, and Italian cuisine. Service is attentive and knowledgeable; one guest noted the waiter gave personalized wine recommendations and tips on where to buy bottles for home storage.
The crowd leans mixed gay/straight and after-work, with a relaxed but refined vibe. Wednesday nights are a smart move: buy one entree, get one free. Prices skew moderate to expensive, but regulars say the quality justifies the cost. It's one of the few places open year-round, so it's a reliable choice even off-season. Reservations are recommended, though a recent walk-in diner was seated promptly.
The Pointe Restaurant is located in Provincetown's West End, near Prince Street. It sits overlooking the town and the Pilgrim Monument.

“Wonderful restaurant”
We stayed at Crowne Pointe and really liked having breakfast here every morning. The chef was great and the food was very tasty.

“Just Wonderful”
We had two meals at the Bistro and enjoyed both; the food is excellent, service was great, and prices are reasonable. The restaurant overlooks the town and the pilgrim monument, which is really neat. They also have a well-priced wine list.

“Good food, ok atmosphere, a little expensive”
The food is good, but the decor feels a bit old-fashioned and it's somewhat pricey. Overall, it deserves four stars though. Plus, it's one of the few places open year-round.

“Devine Dining”
I stumbled upon the Bistro at Crowne Pointe one evening while exploring the area. I showed up without a reservation and was greeted warmly, getting a table in the dining room right away. I could talk about the service endlessly, but to keep it short, every need was taken care of. I had a lengthy, fascinating chat with the server about the wine list, and he even pointed me to shops where I could find special bottles for my own collection. And the food: I had the filet, which was incredibly tender. The desserts were amazing, especially the lime cheesecake, which was absolutely incredible.
