About

This diner is open all day every day, but not every diner is a 24-hour spot with a full bar. The Nicollet Diner in Loring Park is Minneapolis's only round-the-clock diner, serving American breakfast and burgers from 8AM to 1AM's bar. It's LGBT-owned and attracts a late-night crowd alongside regulars. The food is standard diner fare with large portions, but reviews are mixed: some praise the service and vibe, while others cite dirty floors, stained ceilings, and inconsistent food quality. One reviewer even found staples in their hollandaise sauce.

If you're out at 4AM and need a bite, this is your option. The lighting is bright like a big box store, and the bathrooms can smell. But if you stick to classic pancakes or a burger, you'll be fine. Service can be slow, so don't come in a rush. It's a divey spot, not for everyone, but it's there when you need it. Check out nearby Hell's Kitchen Inc. for a different breakfast vibe.

Located in the Loring Park neighborhood, this diner serves a mix of late-night revelers, local residents, and night shift workers.

“This place is super GROSS”

If there's absolutely nothing else open and it's 4 AM, just go to bed hungry instead. The ceiling is water-damaged and sagging, the restrooms always smell like urine or vomit and are rarely cleaned. The floors are grimy with deeply embedded dirt. The lighting is like a cheap retail store at night. Unhoused people and transients seem to hang around the place constantly, and the food is overpriced and inconsistent in quality. The last time I ate there, I found a bunch of staples in my hollandaise sauce. Service is always slow, and the fries are consistently soggy and cold. This place is far too disgusting for words and is an eyesore in the neighborhood. If it's owned by gay people, the owners should be ashamed because it looks like it's run by lazy, straight slobs.

“Right by th Pride Festival and Open 24 Hours!”

This place is a local diner, queer-owned, open 24 hours, and serves a full bar from 8 AM to 1 AM. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. The food is exactly what you'd hope for from a diner, with huge portions, and the service is excellent. You really need to check it out.
