About
In downtown Asheville, Sovereign Remedies brings together hyper-local seasonal cuisine and queer quirky vibes. Owner Charlie Hodge opened this spot in October 2014, and it's become a beloved fixture for both the food and the atmosphere. The space feels like a quirky aunt's house if she were a drag queen: vintage service wear, craft cocktails, and a menu that changes with the seasons. It's a fine-dining experience that stays fun and unpretentious.
The crowd leans 30-somethings and 40-somethings, and it's a great place for a romantic date or a relaxed weekend with friends. They offer Sunday brunch and late-night hours on weekends. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio, and reservations are recommended. If you're looking for a taste of quintessential Asheville, this is it.
Located in downtown Asheville, Sovereign Remedies is a short walk from the city's galleries, breweries, and nightlife.

The atmosphere is really unique. It feels like you're at a funky relative's place if that relative was a drag queen. The food and cocktails are excellent. Very much a quintessential Asheville spot.
