About

Il Fornaio stands out from other high-end Italian spots on the Strip by being part of a small chain known for its in-house bakery and scratch-made pasta. The restaurant sits inside the New York-New York hotel and casino, with a sleek, modern room decorated in warm tones. It draws a mixed, 30-to-50-something crowd, and the vibe is romantic and upscale without being stuffy. The menu focuses on Italian cuisine including pizza, pasta, and seafood, and a full bar is available.

What regulars know: you can sit at the bar or grab a patio table with a great view of the casino action just steps away. Lunch offers the same menu as dinner but with lighter crowds. The bread is excellent, and pastas are consistently praised. If you're looking for another solid option nearby, Mon Ami Gabi is a French bistro just across the street.

Il Fornaio is located on the Las Vegas Strip, inside the New York-New York Hotel and Casino. It's a convenient option for visitors staying or exploring that area of the Strip.

“Great Italian”

The bread and Italian dishes are excellent and fairly priced for the Strip. The dining area is attractively decorated. You can choose to sit at the bar or, even better, outside the main room with a nice view of the casino floor just steps away. Service is generally very good, and the coffee is decent. The desserts are also enjoyable. This place is far superior to other Italian spots on the Strip, offering larger portions, better prices, and friendlier service than similar restaurants. Evenings can be crowded; lunch is a quieter choice with nearly the same menu. The bread and pasta are exceptional.
