About

Bar: Full bar

Tin Shed Garden Cafe is open daily for breakfast and brunch, with hours that welcome early risers and late sleepers alike. This lesbian-owned spot on Alberta Street has been a neighborhood staple since 2002, known for its sustainable ethos and dog-friendly patio. The menu puts a twist on classic American comfort food, with vegetarian options that get regular praise.

The garden patio is the place to be, especially when the fireplace is going. You refill your own coffee, and the staff treats regulars like family. It's a mixed crowd that skews local and lesbian, but everyone's welcome. If you're in the mood for more Portland brunch spots, Cheryl's on 12th is another nearby favorite.

A dependable option for a filling breakfast and tasty biscuits. You can always get more coffee since they offer self-serve refills. Recommended for brunch, with a nice vibe; it's wise to book a table.

“Alberta's queer shed”

The classic cliché applies: plenty of lesbians accompanied by their dogs, enjoying top notch breakfast and coffee. The place is also welcoming to straight people, but it's owned by lesbians and seems to be located right in the heart of where all the Alberta lesbians reside. I really like their grits, and regardless of whether you choose vegetarian or not, the meals are tasty.

“I believe Portland has the best gay restaurants!”

This is definitely the optimal spot for breakfast after a night out clubbing until dawn. Their Mexican coffee stands out. With outdoor tables situated in a garden featuring a fireplace, the vibe is absolutely charming.
