About

The pork chops are amazing, says one regular, and the hummus is good too at Niko Niko's, a casual Greek spot in Montrose serving the neighborhood since 1977. It's counter service with disposable plates and cutlery, keeping things relaxed. The friendly staff gets food out fast even when it's busy. This place is a bit pricier than other Greek restaurants, but its location in Houston's LGBTQ hub explains that. You'll find it on Missouri Street, close to many gay bars and clubs. It's a popular hangout for groups, though the noise level can rise. Weather permitting, grab a table outside.

It's not terrible, but this place mainly appeals to people who aren't that experienced with Greek cuisine. If you've actually eaten in Greece, you might find it somewhat disappointing, though not entirely. It's a counter-service spot, and the staff is consistently pleasant. Even when it's crowded, the food comes out quickly. The prices are higher than most other Greek spots in the area, probably because of its location—the Montrose neighborhood isn't a cheap part of Houston to run a business in.

“Great Greek Food”

The food is excellent, casual atmosphere, and plenty of choices. Everything tastes great, especially the potatoes. It does get very busy sometimes.

“Best greek”

I came here years ago with my family when it was just a tiny spot. Now it's much bigger, but the food is still fantastic. I love the casual vibe with disposable plates and utensils. It's a great place to relax with friends and enjoy yourself.

“Best Greek Food!!”

This is easily the best Greek food in the city! If you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out.

“Went there may 1”

The pork chops were incredible, the hummus was good but not the best I've had. It's a bit expensive but worth it. If the weather's nice, definitely sit outside.
