About

The 16th Street Mall is an expansive outdoor shopping and dining destination stretching multiple downtown Denver city blocks. People-watching is prime here, day or night. Horse-drawn carriage rides add charm after dark. The mall has strong police presence, so you'll feel safe at any hour. While shopping skews toward discount retailers, you can snag designer cologne deals at Ross or TJ Maxx. Nearby, the Tattered Cover McGregor is a great local bookstore stop.

From the community

“I love the free shuttle, something for everyone.”

The east end features the Sheraton, Yardhouse, Earl's, and a United Artists multiplex, while the west end (the wrong end) has Larimer Square with its ever-changing restaurants and bars. There's a great Lucky Strike Lanes with food and drinks, always a good time. Lots of people during the day and early evenings, nice hotels and restaurants... it's fun and pleasant. Plenty of police around at any hour, so you always see officers. It's a good experience for tourists. The shopping options are lacking, mostly discount stores, but there are amazing deals on men's colognes... I often find Cartier, Ferragamo, and Bulgari at Ross and TJ Maxx, who knew?

Over a year ago Great for watching people. At night, take a ride in a horse drawn carriage. The free mall ride is useful otherwise.
