Wildfang began in a Portland studio apartment in 2013 when two founders cashed in their 401ks to build a clothing line that finally answered the question: why can't a blazer have real pockets? The result is a shop specializing in androgynous and masculine apparel designed for all body types, with a focus on gender expression that doesn't compromise on fit or function. It's upscale but approachable, drawing a crowd of 20-somethings and 30-somethings who value both style and substance.
Beyond the racks, Wildfang has given back over $650k to good causes since opening. The Portland store is the original, though they've since expanded to LA. If you're browsing downtown, Powell's City of Books is a quick walk away for a different kind of browsing. Hours run 11am to 7pm daily, so you can stop by any day of the week.
