“Airline Buffs”

We had to go here since both of us work for an airline and love aviation. The collections are excellent, and it's really neat to see planes hanging in the air.

“Most Visited Smithsonian Museum”

This is the most popular among all the Smithsonian museums. It displays thousands of aviation and space artifacts, such as the Wright Brothers' Spirit of St. Louis, the Apollo 11 command module, and a piece of moon rock. The museum is situated directly on The Mall, and entry is free.
