“Great American Zoo”

My partner and I enjoy visiting zoos to see how animals are housed and cared for, just like a friend of ours also does. The National Zoo is excellent. They have updated the elephant habitats, similar to what many other zoos across the country have done.

“An Impressive Variety of Animals”

Following some management issues a few years ago, the National Zoo has recovered and is now one of the top zoos in the country. It has a wide range of animals, such as lions, tigers, pandas, gorillas, and elephants. I love animals and visit many zoos, and this is one of my favorites. Admission is free, but parking is limited and pricey. A better option is to take the Metro Red Line, get off at Woodley Park-Zoo, and walk to the entrance.
