About

This place is best for families with kids who want a quick, low-commitment marine animal experience without the mainland price tag or scale. Sea Life Park Hawaii is a smaller, local alternative to larger marine parks, featuring dolphin and sea lion shows, a 300,000 gallon shark tank, a penguin habitat, and a seabird sanctuary. The highlight for many is the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, which can live up to 80 years.

Located about a 30-minute drive from Waikiki, it's a popular spot for local families, especially on weekends. While the dolphin encounter and other programs cost extra, the general admission price is around $29. If you're looking for more Hawaiian-focused attractions, consider the nearby Bishop Museum instead.

“Located outside Waikiki”

It's like Sea World but on a smaller scale. The venue is outside of the tourist area, and depending on traffic, the drive can easily take half an hour. It's past the popular bay, so locals might enjoy it, but I'd recommend saving your money for larger aquariums on the mainland and doing something more locally focused instead.

“Miniature Version of Sea World”

Sea Life Park is a smaller-scale version of Sea World, with an admission fee of $29. When I visited, many children were there and seemed to really enjoy it. The dolphin and sea lion shows were decent. You can pay extra for a dolphin encounter. My favorite part was the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles exhibit, as these turtles can live up to 80 years.
