About
This unpretentious dive bar in Downtown Long Beach shares an owner with SweetWater down the street, but keeps its own identity as a karaoke-loving neighborhood spot. The crowd skews older and the vibe is friendly, with cheap drinks and a parking lot out back. Halloween parties are a highlight here.

“I Was Welcomed, Even If I'm From Out of Town”
Everyone here had a great energy - it was clear they were all enjoying themselves. I liked talking with people who were open to conversation. Not at all snobby.

“Same old crowd but I love them...”
This bar is nice, and the owner is too (straight but very gay-friendly, same owner as SweetWater down the street). It draws an older crowd but has friendly staff, great drinks, and cheap prices. There are lots of tipsy people having fun—it's a stop-in bar for a few shots before heading elsewhere. The manager does his best to keep things going, but after three years, there's still no working air conditioning.

“Good neighborhood bar”
This is a true neighborhood bar. Depending on the night, the crowd can be light or large and rowdy. It's a fun spot where people are friendly and up for conversation. You have to leave your attitude at the door; it's unpretentious with down-to-earth regulars who don't take themselves too seriously. There's a great bartender who's been a friend since the Circus Disco days—it was a surprise running into him here, and he makes you feel at home. Karaoke is popular here, with lots of participants. They throw great Halloween parties. There's a parking lot out back, which is a plus because parking in Long Beach can be difficult.
