“Bad service”
I visited on a Saturday night when it was slow and the crowd was unattractive. A bartender said I had five minutes to order a drink or leave, so I left. Not worth going there unless you want boredom and a bad attitude.

“Ok Place to hang out”
Be careful because police often hang around the bar to catch drivers who have been drinking. I know from experience.

“Thank God there is a bar for every type”
I visited this bar on a Tuesday night with a friend who lives nearby, and it happened to be Bingo night. I have to commend the bar for offering free food that night—and apparently during every event, based on their website. The place seemed designed for people who don't fit in at typical gay bars. The front area has a party vibe for drinking, while the back, where the patio is, felt more earthy. I left feeling grateful that this bar exists for a different crowd.

“Way fun happy hour”
It had been a while since I last visited The Crest, but I went yesterday and had a really good time. Drink specials were $2.50 for my beers and well drinks too. We had a lot of fun with the jukebox, nice patio, friendly people. I will be back.

“Willie bartender fixture for long beach”
The Crest is in North Long Beach and has been around for years. Its target group is leather and Levis, but you see a wide variety of people. If you haven't been to Long Beach in a while and are looking for one of its favorite bartenders, he is now at The Crest, about a 15 to 20 minute drive north of downtown. North Long Beach is a completely different scene from downtown or eastside Long Beach. I recommend The Crest—a very well-managed destination with a nice happy hour.
