“Not really gay, try Gaslamp (or Hillcrest...)”
This downtown dive is east of the Gaslamp area with a busy bus stop right outside. It feels seedy and attracts all kinds of downtown drinkers, but rarely queer people. Hustlers, maybe. Anyone not wanting to go three miles to Hillcrest or North Park would be better off just walking a few blocks to the Gaslamp area, which is touristy and mostly straight, but still more likely to have the occasional gay people getting off work, celebrating with straight friends, or living downtown and looking for something other than that long trek.
