“North Park Survivor”
Redwing is to North Park what Brass Rail is to Hillcrest: an enduring institution that isn't as trendy as many newer places but is cherished by its loyal and diverse regulars. Nobody goes to Redwing expecting a wild night of dancing or hookups; instead it's a spot for karaoke or hanging out on the back patio, and occasionally a drag show, birthday party, or other event might take place. But Redwing isn't a trendy hotspot and has taken pride in that fact for years, surviving long after places like Wolf's, Shooter's, and Bacchus House closed down.

I adore this bar because attractive men are very friendly and open. If you play darts with them, you might get lucky! Buy them a beer and you might end up married! It's a wonder bar. It used to be kind of weird, but now it's fun. The bartenders are nice people, and that makes all the difference. You'll love the Redwing, but leave your attitude at the door. Everyone else does.

“Fun Diverse Lounge Bar”
I live a block from this bar and love it. It draws an older crowd during the day, but at night it attracts a young and diverse crowd. There's an online jukebox that can play almost any song you want, and it gets packed on karaoke nights with both gay and straight people. They have a standard grill some nights and sushi daddy other nights, which are pretty decent bar food if you want a quick bite with your beer.
