We came on a Wednesday night and had a blast, meeting some nice guys from San Diego. It's the place to be for Wednesday nights.

Seating is limited at Flicks, which is intentional since the videos and crowd change quickly most nights and some days at this longtime Hillcrest favorite. Free food appears some nights, drink specials are common, and the atmosphere is full of fun, friendly men and some women out to enjoy themselves, especially on the often-lively patio facing University Avenue foot and street traffic. Many people stop by before heading to Rich's to dance, though plenty stay on busy nights like Wednesday's college-themed party.

I was convinced to go but we left before finishing our first beer. Only one couple was on the dance floor, three people at the bar, and ten on the patio. On a Friday night?
