Savoy Orlando
American · European · Orlando, FL
About
A long narrow bar on the right, a pool table in front, and a small dance floor with a DJ booth set the scene at Savoy Orlando. Behind that, an open-air patio with two more bars and tables gives you room to breathe. The crowd here spans 20-somethings to 40-somethings, locals and visitors mixing in.
The drinks have drawn mixed reviews, with some calling them overpriced or watered down, so stick to well-known orders. Parking can be tight, but the friendly bartenders and go-go boys on select nights keep regulars coming back. Take a break from dancing by grabbing food from their diverse menu, which ranges from American to Mexican and BBQ.

When you walk into Savoy Orlando, there's a long narrow bar on the right, a pool table ahead, and a long narrow bench with tables on the left. There's a small dance floor behind the bar with a DJ booth. In the back, there's an open-air patio with tables, chairs, and two more bars. It was packed with a diverse crowd when I visited. There were a couple of go-go dancers, but nothing special. The bartenders, however, were muscular and attractive. I paid $6.50 for a rum and coke. I'd probably go back.

“Attentive and personal”
The staff is friendly and attentive. The bartender even remembered me, an out-of-town girl, after six months between visits. The crowd can be a bit cliquey but does warm up and become friendly. It's easy to get to, though parking can be tricky.

“HORRIBLE DRINKS!!!”
It was fun in the past, but the drinks have always been weak. The $4 Sky vodka cocktails taste like there's barely any vodka. Now the place just has a few effeminate guys showing off on wooden boxes.
