About
Walk into Southern Nights and you'll find three bars spread across multiple rooms, with a sunken dance floor flanked by two back bars. An open-air smoking patio with its own DJ booth adds to the layout. This is Orlando's largest gay megaclub, known for its themed parties and drag shows. The price is mid-range and the crowd leans 20s to 30s, mixed gay and straight.
Cover charge varies by night: expect $5 on a regular night. The all-you-can-drink deal can be worth it if you plan to stay. But be warned: drink pricing has been inconsistent, with some past visitors reporting charges higher than advertised specials. Parking is not free, and nearby lots are strictly enforced. Still, the club draws a loyal crowd for dancing and live entertainment.
Located in Downtown Orlando, this club is part of the city's active gay nightlife scene.

This used to be a really great club, actually my favorite. But since the city's population has grown so much, they no longer offer any free parking and if you park in nearby free areas you'll probably get towed or ticketed, costing $135-$150. Even worse, the music has switched from top 40 pop rock and rave to ghetto music. It's not my favorite club anymore at all; it's really sad to see such drastic changes.

Southern Nights Orlando has 3 bars—one in front and two in the back flanking a sunken dance floor. On either side of the front bar are settee benches. In the back and to the right is an open air smoking area with a DJ booth. All this surrounds an enclosed mini-theater (for drag shows?) which wasn't in use. When I was there on November 2nd, 2023 (college night) there was a mixed crowd and a great sound system, but not many college guys or other patrons. I paid $5 cover and was wanded by security (a good thing after Pulse). I paid $22 for all-you-can-drink night so I can't give my usual rum and coke index. Negatives: no go-go boys, and one bartender made a rude gesture after I tipped $2. I'm not sure I'd return.

“Great place to meet new people”
This place is great and now that ride-sharing is in Orlando I don't have to drive home drunk or wait forever for a cab. You can use the ride-sharing app.

“The Worst Place I Ever Been … False Advertisement”
I was there with my friend visiting from Puerto Rico and we checked the venue's website which advertised $3.00 Coronas and other drinks—$3 Long Islands, Coronas, and Sex on the Beach shots. We got there around 11pm and went to see the show. We ordered drinks at the theater bar and the bartender charged us $5.00 for Coronas and $9.00 for the other drinks. OK, it happens. Then we went to the other side and ordered another round; she charged $5.00 for Coronas and $9.00 again. Not good, I said. So we ordered at the front bar and again $5.00 for Coronas and $7.00 for the other drinks. Then I ordered a shot from the special menu on the counter that said $3.00, and the bartender charged me $6.00. So what's going on? Everyone is charging whatever they want. Why advertise something they won't honor? That place is ridiculous and very trashy.
