I visited on a Friday night for karaoke. It took roughly two hours before I got to sing, and while waiting I noticed the same people performing twice. The people-watching was entertaining, drink prices were fair, and the service was good. The crowd was a diverse mix.

“Homophobic and alcoholic”

I was banned from Crescent Lounge because I drew a penis on the bathroom wall of its neighboring straight bar. That bathroom always had great graffiti, but the bartender was offended by my drawing. When Crescent found out, they banned me too. Go figure. Welcome to Amarillo.

“It's just not the same anymore”

I've been coming here since 2007. The crowd is always a wild card. The music is decent, but some staff could improve their customer service. A few of the older employees come off as snobbish, and the daytime crowd can be uncomfortably handsy. But for a great time, try the weekend evening karaoke. You'll remember this place!

“very bad experience !”

After taking photos in the University District and Belltown area, I stopped at this bar around 4pm for a Diet Coke. A very rude butch lesbian bartender told me my French ID wasn't valid in Washington state and asked me to leave immediately, just for a soda. I was shocked. Sometimes people in the US need to realize they aren't the only ones in the world. Travelers leave their passports at the hotel to avoid losing them or getting them stolen. What's wrong with Seattle? I had the same problem at another bar but was never carded elsewhere. I asked a police officer about it, and he said they have no right to refuse me service with a valid French ID.

“sometimes dives are just dives.”

We went because we enjoy karaoke bars, but the local singers are terrible. If you're not a local, you have to listen to them sing three songs for every one of yours. Bring earplugs.
