Over a year ago: A terrible place where you can get harassed. It's very unsafe. I was physically removed by security for using the 'wrong' restroom based on how they perceived my gender. Seriously, a security guard forcibly ejected me for using a urinal without proving I had a penis. He banned me from the men's room, and I simply ignored him. On Saturday, November 25, as a female-presenting person (my genitals are no one's business), I needed to pee. I had used that same restroom multiple times that night, but this time I chose a urinal instead of a stall because the line was shorter. That led to my eviction. Save yourself the trouble and find a genuinely safe club—a total dive.

“Most will not appreciate”

I was living in Seattle when Q first opened. I really enjoyed it because it offered something different for the city—a more modern look and feel. It has an incredible sound system and great DJs who know their music and how to mix. But I knew the local gay crowd wouldn't get it or understand. I love that you can dance as much as you want, even alone, without it being a problem. Great music, the best place to dance with the most current music in Seattle.

“5 to 10% gay”

The venue was smaller than I expected and the music was repetitive—the same drunk dance beat of a typical young straight bar. We enjoyed the small circus show but really appreciated that it drew some straight crowd away from a neighboring bar. We spent 15 minutes at Q then went back to the other bar for a great night out. The gay community has lost the battle for this bar!

“Really dont bother”

I know I should be open-minded and tolerant, but I hoped when I went to Q two weeks ago I'd find a gay bar with a fresh feel. It was new, but the vibe was off. I couldn't tell if there were three, four, or five bachelorette parties taking over the place. Thirty clearly drunk people should never have been let in to cut in front of others at the drink line and push past people in heels. I won't go back as long as this chaos continues.

I can't stand children cutting in front of me to get their first drink ever, and the bartenders ignoring basic bar rules.
