Every time I come to San Francisco, I book a room here. It's conveniently near the Castro and Folsom areas. The rooms are consistently spotless, the staff is very welcoming, and the beds are extremely cozy. I could list more positives, but just give it a shot. You won't regret it.

“Beautiful Renovations!”
Excellent room and exceptionally nice staff, plus I adore the retro atmosphere of a classic Motor Lodge. I'll always choose this place when in San Francisco.

Great location! The exterior isn't much to look at, but the rooms are actually very nice and better than most hotels.

“Newly updated - wow”
I hadn't been to San Francisco or stayed here in about five years, but I came back because I love the location. I was blown away — the room had been completely renovated from floor to ceiling and was clean and stylish. Very impressive. The bathroom was fresh and spotless with a huge shower, and there were new temperature controls. I'm not sure what else they could improve, except maybe a luggage rack, but that's nitpicking. The front desk staff was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

“DUMP”
Filthy, bed bugs, and a rude manager. Stains everywhere, plus escorts and drug dealers. Not worth the money. You'll regret staying here.
