This Sheraton draws a business crowd during the week and a more mixed, party-ready crowd on weekends. It's on the 16th Street Mall, putting you steps from the free mall shuttle and close to Uptown bars. The location is on what regulars call the "right side" of downtown, near the theatre district and away from Larimer's tired stretch. Rooms are basic but comfortable, with suites on high floors preferred by returning guests. There is a gym and a pool. Keep an eye out for aggressive drunk guys coming from Yardhouse nearby. You'll need a cab to reach Tracks, Denver's long-running gay club. If you want more classic luxury, the nearby Brown Palace Hotel and Spa offers an alternate stay.

“Great value, nice rooms, good remodel, attentive staff.”

I enjoy this hotel. It's reasonably priced for what you get and well located near 16th Street Mall and close to the bars in uptown and on Main Street. It's not far from Tracks, but you'll need a taxi. There's often a drunk, pushy guy coming out of Yardhouse; you have to be careful because they're aggressive and touchy. The hotel rooms are nicely furnished—I prefer the suites, which are usually corner rooms and best on a high floor. The gym is good. It's on the nicer side of downtown, close to the theater district but away from the tired restaurants and shops on Larimer (the less desirable end of downtown). It's best to be near uptown. Places on Larimer probably won't be the same next time you visit anyway.
