This is one of the most unique places I've ever stayed. When you pull up and see the tilted luggage sculpture near the entrance, you know it's going to be a special experience. You reach the lobby by walking through a corridor that feels like an art gallery, then take the elevator to the 12th floor. The lobby is full of art. Lobby hours are unusual, so read all the reservation details carefully. You can choose from four color themes: blue, red, green, or yellow. Though the rooms are basically the same, each has small variations that make them feel distinct. The only downside is that there isn't much nearby: Powell Symphony Hall and The Fox are across the street, and a bathhouse is half a mile away, but otherwise you'll need a car or rideshare. I stay here every time I visit St. Louis because the rooms are so enjoyable. For a short one- or two-night trip, this is the perfect place—I love it. Comfortable beds, cool lobby, easy layout.
