MGM Grand Hotel & Casino

Horrible service and homophobic employees. It really seems like everyone who works there is trying to annoy you if you expect any customer service.

“Terrible service”

I stayed in the Hollywood suite, which had a terrible view. The staff was rude, the room felt outdated, and the slot machines were underwhelming. The main floor looks nice and is conveniently located, but the crowd was very straight—I didn't encounter any other gay people despite trying. The buffet and Rainforest Cafe had bad food, though the Italian restaurant (Tiamma?) was excellent. The server there was the only hospitality worker who made eye contact and wasn't rude.

“Very Large Very Ordinary Hotel”

This hotel is enormous, even for Las Vegas standards. Rooms are spacious but the furnishings are fairly basic. The location isn't ideal, at the south end of the Strip. It's decent enough, but it lacks any flair. MGM Grand would be acceptable if you get a very low rate.
