A wonderfully diverse and welcoming mix of people. This is a must-visit spot in the Hillcrest nightlife.

Over a year ago. Wednesday happy hour lasts all day, and I love that. The best part is they have many well-flavored vodkas that make happy hour great, plus cheap appetizers. It can get pricey if you go for the full meal.

“Size Matters”
Lesbians in San Diego lacked their own dedicated space for many years after the gay crowd took over the old Flame and it later closed, and after the straight crowd turned Six Degrees into Starlight. Sure, Numbers hosted Bad Kitties night and Bourbon Street became an informal gathering spot, but it wasn't until Gossip Grill moved into the old Cafe Eleven location that women had their own lively, friendly, always popular hangout with good music, food, and drinks. The small space was the main drawback initially, but relocating into the old Eden a few blocks down University Avenue opened the place up significantly, now featuring a dance floor, multiple bars, a separate smoke-free patio, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Men still enjoy the venue, but this time they won't take it away from the women.

“Bad service”
Here's the situation: the women working here are unfriendly and unpleasant. It was extremely slow, and we were the only customers. The bartender ignored us and didn't serve us. The staff was drinking and partying instead. Avoid this place.
