Step inside and you'll find yourself inside the art. Each room is a site-specific installation designed by an artist-in-residence. The Mattress Factory is an experimental lab where living artists create immersive, room-sized works. It's a small museum but it packs a punch with provocative pieces you can literally step into. The permanent collection includes pieces by James Turrell and Yayoi Kusama. You can also swing by the Andy Warhol Museum nearby if you want more Pittsburgh art.
The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday with late hours on Wednesdays until 8pm. Located on Pittsburgh's North Side, it offers free wifi. It's an arts destination that's well worth a visit.
