I visited twice this year and had a fantastic time both times. Attractive guys. I could take off my shirt while dancing and show off my moves. The crowd was fun and welcoming.

“What were they thinking?”

The people in charge have ruined what was once the best place on the island. I've visited for years, and the Pavillion was always the spot for late-night dancing with a lively crowd. But over the Fourth of July weekend in 2009, it was a disaster. There were long lines for a $20 cover charge, a tiny dance floor that felt cramped, constant pushing and shoving, and guys just trying to have fun. After the first night we gave it another shot, but it was the same mess. We spent more time outside than dancing—very disappointing.

“NEW PAVILLION DOA !!”

I've been coming to this place since 1985, and I'm sorry to say I had the absolute worst weekend ever during the July Fourth week in 2007. The Pavillion was a total mess—no flow, extremely hot, and you were trapped in a box between the bar and the bathroom. Who designed this disaster? I nearly fainted several times, and they had the nerve to charge $20 at the door. After a few previews of this cramped new layout, people caught on and stayed away in large numbers. The place was empty on the Fourth of July—definitely a first. Even worse, now there's a very overpriced supermarket where the bar used to be. What's next? How much more money are they going to squeeze out of us? The new Pavillion is dead on arrival. There's no escape—I had to scream or leave. So we all left, along with about a thousand other disappointed people. I always enjoyed my trips here, but they'll never see this customer again.
