“Monday night visit”
It's a more relaxed crowd that's definitely mostly women, so I guess that's what Monday is like.

“Sparky's Delight”
My partner and I visit San Antonio annually but had never explored outside the Riverwalk area. Tired of the usual spots, we wanted something different from Bonham. After reading reviews, I thought Sparky's would be a good place to start, and it did not disappoint. We only left when we needed food to absorb the alcohol. The bartenders were friendly, and the place is spacious with a bar on the patio. Since I avoid driving after drinking, we took public transit from the Riverwalk, and the bus stopped right at the bar—perfect. A cab back to the hotel was only $10 since public transit doesn't run late. We had a great time and plan to return this weekend. You should too!

“An SA Gay Pub Must See!”
This pub is definitely in my top three gay bars in San Antonio. Sparky's is clean and well laid out. They play great music, but there is no dance floor—though that doesn't stop most people from having a good time. On weekends it gets crowded, so arrive earlier; weekdays are quieter. It's a great spot to meet out-of-town guests or any friends. I love Sparky's!

“drink”
We went on a Saturday. The place was okay if you just want to have a couple of beers.

“this place has changed since opening”
I went during Fiesta and it seemed to have turned into mostly a lesbian bar. Nothing against lesbians, but if I wanted to hang with them I'd go to a lesbian bar—oops, that's Sparky's! SA needs some men's bars. Another Fiesta and man, this place is lesbo city.
